Green Chairs
Part of an urban art project that started when a Minneapolis artist had lawn chairs stolen from his back yard. This particular chair site at the South end of the Smith Avenue High Bridge. Many of us have been photographed sitting in the chair at one time or another. This chair faces what is a kind of entry way into the Upper Town nieghborhood and it is meant to welcome visitors.

This chair looks huge….how big is it??

Not sure how tall it is. I am about five feet tall and if i stand by the seat it is at about eye level. I’ll guess it is maybe 11 or 12 feet tall and about six feet wide.
